Welcome!

Northeast Wisconsin Family Care (NEW FC) was established October 2010 as a Long Term Care District to provide Family Care to qualified elderly and people with disabilities living in Northeast Wisconsin. NEW FC will operate as a quasi-governmental organization serving the counties of Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, and Shawano.

Family Care is designed to optimize the health and independence of adults with long-term care needs through the provision of a flexible benefit package including both traditional Medicaid services (i.e. nursing home, durable medical equipment, physical therapy) and home and community based “waiver” services (home modifications, supportive home care, respite).

Family Care consists of two components: Aging and Disability Resource Centers and Managed Care Organizations. The ADRC acts as the “front door”.  Consumers and their families go to the ADRC to learn about what resources are available as well as being provided a wide array of information and assistance--regardless of income.
